- Complete both demo and final work

3
In this project, students will learn to capture the essence of a landscape using both acrylic and watercolor, with a focus on value, technique, and structured composition. Through guided demonstrations and final work, they’ll develop their ability to observe, simplify, and build a scene with clarity and artistic depth.
Students will:
Understand how value works in color, learning how light and dark areas shape the mood and depth of a painting.
Explore acrylic and watercolor techniques, experimenting with texture, transparency, layering, and blending across both mediums.
Apply composition knowledge, arranging elements to create balance, movement, and focus within the landscape.
Transition from simplified geometric shapes to detailed painting, learning to block in forms first and then gradually refine for a cohesive and believable scene.
Complete both a demo and a final work, gaining confidence through practice and developing a personal interpretation of landscape themes.
