- Learn composition, line drawing and layered shading to create simplified /realistic landscape

1ug

This project encourages students to step into the world of landscapes by combining observation, imagination, and fundamental drawing techniques. Through sketching scenes inspired by nature and everyday surroundings, students will learn to plan and execute artworks that show depth, focus, and storytelling. This project emphasizes not only technical skills, but also artistic intention and time management.

Students will:

  • Implement composition skills by learning how to arrange foreground, middle ground, and background, as well as establishing a strong view and focus point to guide the viewer’s eye.

  • Learn basic sketching and shading techniques to represent light, form, and texture more effectively in natural environments.

  • Observe nature and begin associating those observations with creative interpretations, transforming what they see into personal artistic expressions.

  • Build a sense of space and develop perspective knowledge, exploring one-point and two-point perspective as tools to add realism and depth to their work.

  • Improve concentration and time management, as students follow a step-by-step process and stay engaged throughout multiple drawing sessions.
